The Science Standard offers this website, including the information, content, features, tools, products, and services available through it (collectively, the “Service”), to you conditioned upon your acceptance of these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and all policies and notices referenced in them.

By visiting our website, creating an account, placing an order, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including browsers, customers, vendors, merchants, and contributors of content.

Our store is hosted by Shopify Inc., which provides the ecommerce platform that enables us to offer products and services to you.

7. Wholesale Accounts

Participation in The Science Standard Wholesale Program is subject to separate Wholesale Program Terms & Conditions, including eligibility requirements, authorized sales channels, distribution restrictions, and account obligations.

By applying for or participating in our wholesale program, you agree to comply with those additional terms. In the event of a conflict, the Wholesale Program Terms & Conditions will govern your participation in the wholesale program.

8. Prices, Promotions, and Taxes

Prices, discounts, promotions, and product availability may change without notice. Unless otherwise stated, promotional offers cannot be combined, have no cash value, and may be modified or discontinued at any time as permitted by law.

You are responsible for applicable sales, use, customs, import, and other taxes or charges, except taxes imposed on our income.

If a pricing or promotional error occurs, we may correct the error and, where permitted, cancel the affected order and issue an appropriate refund.

9. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping estimates are estimates only and are not guaranteed delivery dates. Delays may occur due to carriers, weather, customs, demand, incorrect delivery information, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

10. Subscriptions and Recurring Purchases

When you purchase a subscription, you authorize us to charge your selected payment method automatically at the frequency and price shown at checkout, plus applicable taxes and shipping, until the subscription is canceled.

Subscription prices, discounts, products, and shipping charges may change. When required by law, we will provide notice before a material change takes effect.

You may modify, pause, or cancel a subscription before the next scheduled processing date through your customer account or by contacting support@TheScienceStandard.com. Canceling a subscription does not cancel an order that has already been processed or shipped.

Subscription returns and refunds are governed by our Return and Refund Policy.

11. Optional and Third-Party Tools

We may provide access to tools, applications, integrations, or services operated by third parties. We do not control those third-party services and provide access to them on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We are not obligated to keep Submissions confidential, compensate you for them, publish them, or respond to them. We may monitor, edit, decline, or remove Submissions that we reasonably determine are unlawful, misleading, abusive, infringing, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate.

You may not use a false identity or mislead us or others regarding the origin of a Submission.

15. Intellectual Property

The Service may occasionally contain typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions relating to product descriptions, ingredient information, pricing, promotions, shipping charges, transit times, or availability.

We may correct errors, update information, or cancel affected orders at any time, including after an order has been submitted, as permitted by law. If we cancel a paid order, we will issue an appropriate refund.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES, OR THAT INFORMATION OR RESULTS OBTAINED THROUGH THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR RELIABLE.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES, SO SOME EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

19. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, The Science Standard, LLC., THE SCIENCE STANDARD, AND THEIR AFFILIATES, OWNERS, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, CONTRACTORS, SUPPLIERS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR REPLACEMENT COSTS, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR PRODUCTS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR A CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE, A PRODUCT, OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US FOR THE PRODUCT OR TRANSACTION GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

THESE LIMITATIONS DO NOT APPLY TO LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE LIMITED OR EXCLUDED.

20. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Science Standard, LLC., The Science Standard, and their affiliates, owners, directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, suppliers, service providers, and licensors from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable legal fees arising from your violation of these Terms, misuse of the Service, violation of law, or infringement of a third party’s rights.

21. Severability, Waiver, and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the fullest extent permitted and severed to the minimum extent necessary. The remaining provisions will remain in effect.

Our failure to enforce a right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.

These Terms and the policies incorporated by reference constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede prior or contemporaneous communications concerning the Service.

22. Termination

These Terms remain effective until terminated by you or us. You may terminate them by discontinuing your use of the Service.

We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law. Obligations and liabilities that arose before termination, along with provisions that by their nature should survive, will remain in effect.

23. Mobile Messaging Terms

If you opt in to receive text messages from The Science Standard, you agree to receive recurring service-related and promotional SMS or MMS messages at the mobile number you provide. Messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or other automated technology.

Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Your wireless carrier is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

You represent that you are the account holder or customary user of the mobile number provided and agree to notify us if that number changes. We may change the telephone number or short code used for the program and will provide notice when required.

Mobile messaging is also subject to our Privacy Policy.

24. Governing Law

These Terms and any separate agreement through which we provide the Service will be governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.

25. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page and changing the effective date. When required by law, we will provide additional notice of material changes.

Your continued use of the Service after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
